on Friday May Second 2008 I was driving to Angola Indiana to pick up some items when a severe Thinderstorm warning was issued for the county. At the time had GR Level 3 and Spotter Network running on my computer. About 2 minutes later I received a phone call from NWS in Northern Indiana asking me if I would be able to go into the storm cell that they issued the warning for. I told them that I had to pick up an item and that I would be heading into the cell after I got the item.
After I picked up my item I proceeded to head to the storm, however I was too far behind the cell to get the NWS any information. I then looked at the radar image and decided to fall back to a smaller cell that was taking the same path. The only thing that I observed in the smaller cell was Pea sized Hail. knowing that we were supposed to get more weather later in the day (Whick we didn't) I decided to hold back and wait for the day to transpire.
Chase milage was 9 miles from angola to storm and back to home.
